Opti Lux Inspection of Lenses and Lens M

The OptiLux is a state-of-the-art 3D optical coordinate measuring machine ideally suited towards the rapid and precise measurement of delicate components such as contact lenses, intra-ocular lenses and associated tooling and moulds.

Our metrology platform enables the complete characterisation of all surface-form features up to a maximum slope angle of over 90 degrees (it can, for example, measure the side walls of an insert). In addition to all standard form-parameters, the OptiLux is able to simultaneously characterise both surfaces of an optically-transparent component, providing an accurate assessment of thickness and surface alignments (lens centration, prism).

Technical Details:

  • True 3D measurement with PASS/FAIL measurement report or fully illustrated residual error maps.

  • Example customisable output parameters (Intra-ocular / contact lenses) include: Best fit radius, thickness, tooling off set, freeform analysis (haptics etc) against CAD source, diffractive structure analysis, toric / aspheric form analysis and axial fits, and multifocal zone analysis.

  • Wide variety of options providing an ideal match against range, resolution, speed and price.
